Steven Brazis
Hello, my name is Steven Brazis. I am not an experienced technical climber and you won’t find my name associated with climbs around the world. I am a dentist by profession. I have, however, been a devoted mountain person all my life.
My parents brought me to the Sierra Nevada mountains when I was just a baby. Later as a young boy, I used to go off into the rocks wherever we went camping and climbed around by myself.
I have at one time or another climbed most of the peaks between Mt. Whitney and Yosemite in the Sierra range. All of these climbs were before the advent of climbing as a big time sport, with rock climbing gyms in every city. Very few climbed in those days (late 1950’s to mid 1980’s). My climbs were usually solo and without any ropes or equipment to speak of.
Now I am learning more about the technical side of climbing. As I learn, I want to share what I learn as well as share my love of the mountains and mountain photography with you.
I welcome any legitimate comments or thoughts you might have about climbing, this site or what you would like to see covered here.
